Cleaning the bathroom isn’t always fun, but it’s a job we all have to do. From spritzing the mirrors to scrubbing shower walls, it’s an essential task to tick off your to-do list. Thankfully, there are ways of making this chore quicker, more efficient and a bit more interesting!
How concerned are you about disinfecting while cleaning?
To make it easier, there are a number of bathroom cleaning hacks that can help shorten the time you spend cleaning and give you better results. We’ve put together some of the ones we think everyone should know to make your cleaning routine that little bit easier.
Shower cleaning hacks
When the head of your shower starts to get covered in grime, it’s time for this cleaning hack. Simply fill a small plastic bag with vinegar and tie it over the head with an elastic band. Let it sit for about an hour, then take it off and give the head a wipe over with a cloth. The grime should be completely gone!
You can also make cleaning your glass shower walls easier by using vinegar to scrub them down. Just be aware of the very strong smell it’ll leave behind for a little bit. You can also use a bit of toothpaste on an old toothbrush to get rid of particularly stubborn scum marks.
Toilet cleaning hacks
The first of our toilet cleaning hacks is to pop your toilet brush into the toilet, leaning the hand against the side so the top doesn’t touch anything, and apply a generous amount of Domestos Thick Bleach to the bowl of your toilet. In that way, you’ll be bleaching the brush at the same time – simple!
If you’ve got tough grime on the inside of your toilet, cut a grapefruit in half and cover with coarse salt. Then scrub the toilet bowl gently. The marks should come right off, and your toilet will smell fresh and fruity.
Sink cleaning hacks
For one of the easiest sink cleaning hacks, use an old toothbrush and Cif Cream to clean around taps and sink holes. The dirt in these hard to reach areas will come right off!
You can also use the grapefruit tip we mentioned for the toilet to keep your sink sparkling, and get rid of rust on metal taps with some water-displacing spray applied to a cloth and rubbed on. These also work a treat as bathtub cleaning hacks, so remember to give them a go on your tub!
Try these simple yet effective cleaning hacks – bathroom cleaning’s never been easier. You’ll have a sparkling bathroom in no time!
