A geyser provides warm, soothing water for a shower and is pretty much a must-have in every household. It gets worked up many times during winters. Remember these few tips to increase the lifespan of your geyser.
1) Check the plug
Fluctuating power can cause short circuits with the geyser. Use an MCB switch instead of regular ones.
2) Check the valves
Once a year, check the temperature and pressure release valves (they are at the bottom of the geyser). Replace them in case they’re leaking.
3) Save money
Lower the temperature of the heater so that the water warms sooner. It will save you money and also from accidental burns.
Keeping the geyser on for extended periods will reduce the lifespan of the apparatus. Switch it on only 5 minutes before you need it.
