Are your taps covered in hard water stains? Here’s a simple method to make them shine again!

When hard water evaporates, its leaves behind limescale deposits. It is the white, chalky, hard substance that builds up around your taps.

Though limescale is not harmful, it reduces the water flow. Get those stains off your tap by following these 3 easy steps.

Step 1:

Clean. Apply some undiluted vinegar on the taps. You can use a spray bottle for easy application. Alternatively, you can use ½ a cup of lemon juice which will also leave a fine fragrance behind.

Step 2:

Hold back. Let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the severity of the stains.

Step 3:

Wipe it. Scrub the area clean to remove the stains. Do not use a scrub that is too abrasive in order to avoid causing any damage to the surface.

It is simple. It is quick.

Top Tip

A mixture of vinegar and lime juice is more acidic and can be used for cleaning really stubborn deposits
