Using an air freshener is an easy solution, but the spray only masks bad smells. So, use these tips to clear the bad odour and maintain the freshness inside your washroom.

A dehumidifier is a good idea, especially if your bathroom is humid.

1) Air out

After a shower or bath, leave the bathroom fan running or open the window until the steam dissipates and the walls and floor are dry.

2) Clean it up

Make a paste of equal parts of lemon juice and baking soda. Mix it thoroughly until you get a fine paste. Spread the paste on the walls and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Now, spray some vinegar on the paste, let it fizzle for a moment and then wipe off using a damp rag. Splash some water on the walls and let it dry.

3) Clear odours

Fill a pretty glass vase or bowl with 3 tablespoons of white vinegar or baking soda and set it on the bathroom counter.
