How to clean bathroom

If you are looking for something that is easily available at home and can also be used as a cleaning agent then you won’t find anything more effective than baking soda! It is not only efficient and handy but can also be used on a vast variety of surfaces in your household. Having said that, here is how you can use baking soda and warm water for a shining bathroom!

Use gloves as baking soda is slightly acidic and could cause irritation.

1) Toilet bowls:

Toilet bowls are always prone to stains. Baking soda can solve this for you. Just sprinkle some baking soda into the toilet bowl and leave it there for a few hours. Then just pour some vinegar and give it a rinse with a toilet brush. This combination cleans and deodorises the toilet.

2) Shower stalls and mirrors:

Simply make a paste of baking soda and water. Wet the surface of the mirror or shower stall and gently rub the paste with a sponge or soft nylon brush. Rinse thoroughly. This will help you get rid of soap scum and other stains. This paste can also be used to clean bath tubs.

3) Bathroom floor and tiles:

Create a paste of baking soda and water to get rid of the mould and other grit that grows between bathroom tiles. For this, put 3 cups of baking soda into a bowl and add 1 cup warm water. Mix into a smooth paste and scrub the grout with a sponge or toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly.

4) Clogged Drains:

For this, just sprinkle quarter a cup of baking soda with hot water down the drain, once a week. In case the drain is already clogged, you can use a mixture of baking soda, lemon juice and vinegar to clear it up.

So the next time you go grocery shopping, buy some baking soda in bulk!
