Easy Tips to Keep Your Bathrooms Sparkling Clean For Diwali 2019!

While you are getting ready for Diwali and busy with your yearly home clean-up, remember to clean your bathroom too. In this article, we give you a few tips to get this personal space shining.

Soak a few cotton balls in your favourite essential oil. Take a bowl, put these cotton balls in it and keep the bowl in your bathroom to add pleasant fragrance.

1) For the Washbasin

Take a bowl. Cut a lemon in half. Squeeze the juice into the bowl. Add 2 tsp. of salt to this and mix well. Now, take the skin of the squeezed lemon, dip it in the mixture and rub evenly in and around your washbasin. Wait for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water.

2) For the Toilet Bowl

Your toilet bowl can release a foul odour if left unclean for long. Wear rubber gloves and pour ½ cup of vinegar around the inner and outer rims of your toilet bowl, allowing it to run down to the base. Use a toilet scrubbing brush to clean the entire bowl and flush.

3) For Faucets

You need to make a paste of 2 tsp. of baking soda and 2 tbsp. of lemon juice. Apply this over the tap and let it rest for 20 minutes. Wipe the area with a cloth. Finally, rinse the tap with water and let dry. This solution works for stained taps as well.

4) For Tiles

Mix 1 cup of water and 3 cups of baking soda to make a thick paste. Apply the paste on the tiles, including in the joints between tiles, and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then, make a solution using 2 cups of white vinegar and 1 cup of water and add it to a spray bottle. Spray this solution on the baking soda paste you applied earlier. Finally, scrub the tiles with a brush or an old toothbrush, and your tiles are sure to start shining again!

5) For Door

To clean your bathroom door, take a mug of water and add 2 tbsp. of dishwashing liquid to it. Put this mixture into a spray bottle and spray on your door. Then take a sponge and scrub the door. Finally, wipe dry with a cloth.

6) For Countertops

Make a paste comprising 1 tsp. of baking soda along with 1 cup of warm water in a bowl. Next, take a soft-bristled brush, dip the brush in this paste and apply evenly all over the countertop. Let it rest overnight. Wipe it clean the next morning with a clean, damp cloth.

Follow these simple tips, and every part of your bathroom will be sparkling clean for Diwali.
