Are you a person who likes to keep their bathroom tiles looking shiny and spotless all the time? If you’re looking for some amazing tricks, you’re in the right place. In this article, we have listed a few cleaning tips using everyday household staples. What’s more, they are readily available in your kitchen!

Here are some quick and easy tips to get your bathroom tiles sparkling in no time.

To deodorise your bathroom, keep a small bowl of baking soda in a corner. It absorbs unpleasant odours, keeping the air in your bathroom fresh and clean.

1) Vinegar and Water

Make a cleaning solution by mixing 5 tbsp. of vinegar with 5 tbsp. of tap water. Mix well using a spoon. Dip a clean cloth in this solution and rub it on the surface of your bathroom tiles. This will help dislodge all the dirt from the surfaces. In case of hardened stains, leave the solution on the affected areas for 20-30 minutes. Then, wipe off with clean water. Pat the area dry with a clean cloth and allow air-drying.

2) Lime Juice and Water

Mix 1 cup of lime juice with 1 cup of lukewarm water. Mix well with a spoon and pour the mixture into a spray bottle. Then, spray this solution on your bathroom tiles and wipe off using a damp cloth. While wiping, rub in circular motions to remove the dirt completely. Lime juice is also effective in removing any odour from the room. You can also try Domex floor cleaner for your bathroom.

3) Baking Soda and Dishwashing Liquid

Make a solution by mixing ½ a cup of baking soda and 2 tsp. of dishwashing liquid in 1 bowl of lukewarm water. Using a non-abrasive scrubber, apply this mixture on your bathroom tiles and wait for 10-15 minutes. Wash your tiles with plain water and wipe dry with a clean cloth.

4) Peppermint Essential Oil and Dishwashing Liquid

Give your bathroom tiles a good wash by mixing ½ a cup each of vinegar and water, 4-5 drops of peppermint essential oil and 1 tsp. of dishwashing liquid. You can try using Vim dishwashing liquid, which is easily available in the market. You can pour the solution in a spray bottle and use it to clean dirty spots. Or, you can mix the solution to ½ a bucket of lukewarm water to clean the tiles.

There you go! You can also dry the tiles using a steam cleaner if you can get one. Develop and follow a weekly cleaning schedule to keep your bathroom sparkling clean. It’s also important to keep it odour-free using an air freshener.
