Bathroom cleaning

Need to keep your white bathroom tiles always bright? Here’s how you do it!

Getting rid of grime stuck on the bathroom tiles is a cumbersome task. Besides the usual sweeping and cleaning routine, we can do a lot more to maintain the shine of the bathroom tiles using natural ingredients.

Here are a few tried and tested tips to help you bring back the shine of your bathroom tiles.

1) Vinegar and warm water

Prepare a mixture of vinegar and warm water and pour it in an empty spray bottle. Spray it on the tiles and scrub them with a sponge. For the final cleaning, rinse with fresh water.

2) Furniture polish

Take a clean microfibre cloth and spray furniture polish liberally over it. Polish the tiles thoroughly. Don’t walk over them for a few hours because it creates a slippery layer over the tiles.

3) Toothbrush and a toothpaste

This one is for stubborn grime stuck on the grouts. Grab an old toothbrush, dab some toothpaste on it and scrub the grouts. Once you’re done scrubbing, wash the brush and repeat the scrubbing without any paste.

4) Lime juice. Prepare a mixture of lime juice and water

Spray it on the tiles and wipe them with a damp cloth. For the final cleaning, wipe with a dry rug and let them air dry.

Top Tip

For cleaning extremely stubborn stains, use a mixture of baking soda and warm water.
