How To keep Your Bathroom Smelling Fresh & Get Rid Of Foul Odours

Keeping your bathroom smelling fresh is very tough. Here are some fast and effective methods which use only household ingredients to banish bad odours and keep your bathroom smelling fresh.

Keeping your bathroom clean is a tough task in itself, so is to maintain it from getting bad odours. It can get very embarrassing when you have guests over and the toilet is smelly. But don’t worry! These fast and effective methods use household ingredients to banish bad odours from your bathroom. Here’s how-

1) Rubbing alcohol and essential oils

To make a home-made air freshener, mix three parts of water, one-part of rubbing alcohol, and 10 to 20 drops of any essential oil, such as lavender oil, eucalyptus oil, or orange oil. Pour the mixture in a spray bottle and leave it on the back of the toilet. Spray when needed.

2) Vinegar

A mixture of baking soda, lemon juice, and vinegar is very effective at reducing odour. Make a paste of equal parts lemon juice and baking soda. Mix the substances together to get an even consistency. Spread this paste along the bottom of the toilet and the toilet seat using a damp rag and leave for 10 to 15 minutes. Wipe off the paste with water after sometime to reduce foul odour.

3) To absorb foul odours

Fill a pretty glass vase or bowl with white vinegar or baking soda, and then set it on the bathroom counter. Both household products help absorb odours out of the air, leaving the room fresh and pleasant.

4) Exhaust

To cover up embarrassing odours, proper ventilation is the key. Simple air flow can help reduce smells. If you have an exhaust fan, turn it on after you use the bathroom. If you don't, open the bathroom door or window to let the air in. Try to keep the bathroom dry at all times as moisture can cause mildew to build-up, resulting in a musty smelling bathroom.

These simple tips will keep your bathroom smelling fresh at all times and will ensure that you are never ashamed of your washroom.
