While your living room makes the first impression, it is your bathroom that makes a lasting impression in the minds of your guests. It is best to keep your bathroom spick-and-span at all times. Use these everyday kitchen items to keep your bathroom looking clean and smelling fresh.
1) Cleaning Glass Surfaces
Brew a cup of strong black tea. Wait for it to cool before pouring it into a spray bottle. Spray this solution on the mirror and glass surfaces in your bathroom and wipe off using an old newspaper. Allow it to air-dry.
2) Cleaning Taps and Showerheads
Hard water stains are common on taps and showerheads. They can make your bathroom look unkempt. To clean these, cut a lemon in half and rub it on the stains. Then rinse with plain water.
3) Cleaning the Cabinets
To remove tough stains from your bathroom cabinets, prepare a cleaning solution by mixing 1 cup of white vinegar and 2 cups of water in a bowl. Soak a small cotton towel in this solution. Gently wring excess water and wipe the stained areas with it. Wait for 25-30 minutes, and then wipe off the cabinets with a clean cloth dampened with plain water.
4) Unclogging the Drains
To unclog drains in your bathroom, pour 1 cup of baking soda followed by 1 cup of white vinegar down the drain. Wait for 15 minutes before pouring a bucket of warm water down the pipe. This will clear any accumulated dirt and unclog your drain.
Keep these tips handy, and your bathroom will always be free of stains and bad odour.
