Winter is coming! It’s time to pull out our favourite woollens and add layers to your clothing.

Getting stains on your favourite woollens is probably the saddest part of your winters. Some stains can be removed easily at home if treated the right way. Let us walk you through the right steps to remove stains from woollen clothing.

Don’t air dry your woollens, it may shrink significantly.

Step 1:

Mix 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 2 drops of Comfort fabric softener and a litre of warm water in a bucket. Soak your stained woollen clothing in the solution and blot out the stain.

Step 2:

Fill another bucket about halfway with warm water and add soap flakes. Pour cold water once the soap flakes dissolve.

Step 3:

Let your woollen soak in this solution. Pour two drops of ammonia and clean the stains. Rinse it until all the soap is removed.

Step 4:

Add one cup of vinegar and swish the sweater. Rinse until vinegar is removed.

Step 5:

Wring the woollen gently and make sure you get rid of the excess water. Wrap it in a towel and then flat dry it.
