Elegant and timeless; a saree draws everyone’s attention. But a small stain can turn your dream drape into a nightmare. So, how do you deal with it? Simple, just follow these easy stain-removal hacks and preserve your Saree without being sorry!

  • Oil Stains:
Sprinkle Talcum powder or some baking soda on the stained area. Keep it for 2-3 hours. This will help in soaking the oil. After this, take a wet cloth and wipe the area clean. Finally rinse the Saree in cold water.
  • Food Stains:
Apply white toothpaste on both the sides of the stained area. Hang the saree for 3-4 days. Now, wash off the toothpaste. If the stain is still there, repeat the same steps till the stain disappears.
  • Lipstick Marks:
Press the area with a white cloth so it soaks the lipstick stain. Place another tissue and repeat the same steps till the entire stain is out. Then rinse the Saree in plain cold water.

With these hacks, you can be sure that your Saree will remain stain free and beautiful!

Top Tip

Do not hang the Silk Sarees in iron hangers. This may stain the sarees. Make sure that you do not fold your sarees in the same fold every time. If the sarees are folded along the same lines as before, then over a period of time, they might tear along those lines.
