White clothes can look smart, but they can also be difficult to manage. Here are some tips to maintain your whites!

White clothes are dear to everyone; we tend to be more cautious when we put them on. White clothes tend to become dull with every wash. It is useful to be aware of a few tips when washing our whites.

1) Bleach

Fill a bucket with warm water up to half its capacity. Add ¼ cup of full bleach and soak the whites for about 10 minutes. Rinse, wash, and repeat if necessary. It is recommended to wear rubber gloves while dealing with bleach.

2) Ammonia

Add 1 cup of ammonia and 1 cup of Vim dish-wash liquid in a bucket. Mix it properly with a toothbrush. Soak your whites for about 30 minutes to ensure they lose the colour stains. Scrub the garments with the same toothbrush and rinse them in the water.

3) Peroxide

Add 1 part of water and 1 part of Hydrogen peroxide (depending on the size of the garment). Soak the whites for about 30 minutes and then rinse them. Rewash and repeat, if required.

Use any of these super functional tips to brighten your whites.

Top Tip

Separate your white clothes from the coloured ones during a wash.
