Every parent has to deal with their kids scribbling on the walls. While you may love admiring your little one’s masterpiece, getting rid of the wall art may prove tricky. Don’t worry, we’ve listed a few tips to help make your life easier and clean your walls effortlessly.
There are various types of interior wall paints: matte, satin, semi-gloss and gloss. All provide your child with an ideal workstation. While children should be encouraged to nurture their creativity, it’s not the best look for your home when they unleash their potential on the bedroom walls, right?
Use these tips to get your walls back to their original colour.
1) Use a Cleaning Solution
To a bucket filled with warm water, add a few drops of dishwashing liquid to it. Take a clean washcloth, dip it in this solution, squeeze out the excess water and use it to clean the crayon colours off the walls easily.
2) Use a Glass Cleaner
Spray some glass cleaner on the stained area of the walls and let it sit for 20 minutes. The glass cleaner will loosen the crayon marks. Use a clean washcloth to clean the stains off the walls.
3) Use a Home-Made Cleaning Paste
Prepare a paste combining baking soda and water, 1-cup each. Dip a sponge in the mixture and apply the paste on the walls to get rid of crayon marks. This process will leave some residue, which can be cleaned using soapy water.
These tips can work on most types of wall paint; however, we suggest trying them on a small patch of your wall first, preferably in a hidden corner, to ensure they don’t have any adverse effect.
Kids will be kids and are liable to make a mess. But you can use these simple tips to make the task of cleaning your walls an effortless one.
