Did your Friday night guests leave a lot of stains for you to clean up? Follow these simple steps for post-party clean-up!

We spend weeks prepping for a house party - the theme, the décor, the guest list, the cuisine - and we want everything to be nothing short of perfect. But, the morning after the party is another sob fest of sorts.

Generally, when you wake up the next day, hungover, there is a lot of cleaning that you have to take care of. Well, we may not be able to help you with the cleaning but we have quick tips to make it easier for you.

1) Broken glasses

Sweep away the broken pieces with a broom. Make sure you take care of the tiniest particles. Use slices of bread to clean up the tiny shards that may not be very visible. Wrap the bread with a newspaper and dispose of carefully.

2) Lipstick stains

Mix ½ a cup of vinegar in a bowl of warm soapy water. Wash the stains using this solution and wipe with a dry cloth.

3) Carpet stains.

You can use some leftover beer to remove carpet stains if you run out of a stain-removal liquid.

4) Water rings.

Rub a little toothpaste on the water ring and buff it with a clean cloth. For the next party, keep coasters for your guests.

Top Tip

Keeping coasters, tissues and paper towels accessible for your guests during the party would mean lesser mess and thereby lesser cleaning for your.
