It’s important to take care of your silverware, as it tends to lose its shine and turns black when exposed to air. This happens due to oxidation when silver comes in contact with moisture. Oxidation leaves a thin layer of corrosion over your silverware and can dull its shine. The good news is that you need just a few everyday items to take care of your silverware. We bring you a few simple tips.
How do you know that the surfaces in your kitchen and bathroom have been disinfected?
1) Use Toothpaste
Apply toothpaste to your silverware and make sure you cover the entire stained area. Next, use an old toothbrush to rub the toothpaste evenly on your silverware. Let it rest for 5-7 minutes and then rinse under clean water. Finally, take a clean cloth and wipe dry.
2) Use Baking Soda
Put 1 cup of baking soda and ½ a cup of water in a bowl. Using a spoon, mix the ingredients well to prepare a paste. Apply the paste on your silverware.
