DIY wooden floor cleaning hacks you need to know right now.

Wooden flooring gives your house an exclusive look. To maintain that exclusivity, you will have to go that extra mile when cleaning it. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with a few cleaning hacks.

  • Too much water is bad for the wood. So, let this be a weekly routine. Prepare a solution of one cup of vinegar and three cups of water. Pour the solution in a spray bottle. Spray it and clean it with a mop for a shiny, waxy look. To put moisture back in the wood, add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil to the bottle once a month.
  • Warm some water with a couple of tea bags. Dip a cloth in the solution and gently wipe it over the hardwood flooring. It needs to be merely damp and not soaked.
  • For a sticky mess, rub some olive oil. Allow it to settle and clean it with a dry cloth.
  • In case of a gap, take a crayon which matches the shade of the flooring and rub it on the gap. Turn a blow dryer on high, heat the area where the crayon was applied and smoothen it with a soft cloth.

Remember to dry mop the flooring daily and use these DIYs whenever required.
