Have your white home floors turned yellow? Grab these simple household items for a simple solution!

White flooring turning yellow is not uncommon. However, don’t let hard water spotting dull its shine.

Due to improper maintenance, highly polished floorings begin to wear out. This makes the floor rough and a magnet to dirt. Well, it’s not that hard to crack the code on how to get rid of yellowness.

  • Baking Soda + lemon Juice
Mix baking soda and lemon juice to form a paste. Apply it directly on the affected area. With the help of a toothbrush, scrub it for a few minutes. It will lift the yellow tint from the floors. Rinse the floor thoroughly and wipe any excess liquid with a damp cloth.
  • Bleach + water + detergent
Prepare a solution of bleach, water and Surf Excel liquid detergent. Pour this solution on the yellow stains and let it sit for 30-45 minutes. Wipe the cleaning agent from the floor with a damp sponge.
  • Vinegar + water
Apply vinegar directly on the yellowing floor and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Sprinkle baking soda on the vinegar to help get rid of the yellow stains. After scrubbing the area with a sponge, rinse thoroughly with water.

Top Tip

A detergent, with ammonia as its main ingredient, will be more effective when getting rid of yellow stains from the floor.
