Dirty tiles do not only look unpleasant, but also take up time and effort to thoroughly clean.

However, the code to cleaning grout (the space between the tiles) after Holi has been cracked, and it requires only a few household ingredients.

If you let the solution sit for a bit longer, it will help brighten the grout.

Step 1:

Mix ½ a cup of baking soda, ¼ cup of hydrogen peroxide, and 1 teaspoon of dish soap.

Step 2:

Apply the cleaning mixture on the grout properly. Make sure it is covered fully.

Step 3:

Let it sit for 5-10 minutes so that the reaction pulls the dirt from the gap.

Step 4:

Use an old toothbrush to scrub and rinse the grout. The dirt will be out easily and effectively.
