How to Make Your Marble Floors Sparkle Like New!

A beautiful, shining marble floor is something everyone admires. It’s impossible to maintain the shine of your marble flooring. Stop worrying because we’ve got your back.

This guide lists tips to revive the shine of your marble flooring.

1) Use Baking Soda and Dishwashing Liquid

Start by sweeping the floor to clear out any dust and dirt. Take a bucket full of warm water, add 2 tsp. each of baking soda and dishwashing liquid to it, and mop the floor with this. Mop with plain water later. Do this twice a week consistently to keep your flooring looking clean and shiny.

2) Use Vinegar and Baking Soda to Remove Stains

To clean stains on your marble floor, prepare a paste of vinegar and baking soda, 2 tbsp. each. Using a soft-bristled brush, rub it on stains, if any, and leave it overnight. The next morning, scrape off the mixture and mop your floor with soapy water. To prepare this solution, add 2 tsp. of dishwashing liquid in a bucket of water, and mix well. Mop the floor with plain water afterwards to remove the soap.

3) Use White Chalk Powder

To give your marble flooring a glow, grind a handful of white chalk sticks and sprinkle them over clean, dry marble. Buff it in circles with a microfibre cloth. Wipe the chalk powder away with a soft, damp cloth to remove all residue, and then wipe off with a dry cloth to bring out the marble’s shine.

A good cleaning routine will help you keep your marble floor looking shiny for a long time.
