A marble floor can effortlessly add elegance to your home, but due to its porous properties, it quickly soaks liquids. And when you have kids at home, spills are common. If your kid has accidentally spilt a bowl of gravy on your beautiful marble floor, don’t worry. Though it can easily stain, we’ll help you remove it like a pro. Our simple step-by-step process can help you easily get rid of it.

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Use tissue paper to blot the stain and remove as much of the gravy as you can.

How do you know that the surfaces in your kitchen and bathroom have been disinfected?

Step 2: Spray Water

Spray water on the stain to keep it damp. If you let the stain dry, it will take longer to clean.

Step 3: Prepare a Cleaning Solution

Add 1 cup of water and ½ a cup of baking soda to a bowl and mix well.

Step 4: Apply it on the Stain

Evenly apply a thick layer of this paste on the stain with a soft-bristled brush.

Step 5: Cover with Cling Film

Cover the stained portion with cling film and leave it for a whole day. The baking soda will absorb the stain from the marble floor.

Step 6: Prepare Another Cleaning Solution

The next day, make a cleaning solution of 2 cups of warm water and 2 tsp. of dishwashing liquid. Mix well.

Step 7: Remove the Cling Film

Once the cleaning solution is ready, remove the cling film. Evenly pour the cleaning solution on the stained areas. Scrub any remaining stain using a soft brush or cloth.

Step 8: Rinse with Plain Water

Dampen a piece of cloth with plain water and rinse the area.

Remember that you must start treating stains on your marble flooring as soon as you spot them. Any delay will allow the stain to set and make it difficult to remove.

The next time you spot gravy stains on your marble floors, keep this guide handy. You’re welcome!
