Hard water contains minerals and salt deposits that can cause discolouration in your clean and shiny buckets. This can look untidy and be embarrassing if you have guests over. Follow the steps given here and get rid of those hard water stains easily.
Step 1: Use Vinegar
Pour 2 cups of vinegar in a bowl. Soak a clean cloth in it. Now, wipe the insides of your bucket with the cloth. The vinegar will react with the hard water stains and loosen it.
How do you know that the surfaces in your kitchen and bathroom have been disinfected?
Step 2: Use Baking Soda
Take 3 tbsp. of baking soda in a bowl. Then, sprinkle it over the vinegar-soaked surface of your bucket and let it rest for 15 minutes. Vinegar and baking soda will react and release bubbles that will help in removing the stains.
Step 3: Use a Sponge
Next, wear gloves and scrub the bucket with a sponge. You can also use the same sponge to clean the outer surface of your bucket.
Step 4: Make a Cleaning Solution
Add 2 tsp. of dishwashing liquid in a bowl of water. Mix well to make a cleaning solution.
Step 5: Wash the Bucket
Soak a rag in the cleaning solution and clean the bucket with it. Finally, rinse the bucket with plain water.
That’s it! Removing hard water stains from your bucket isn’t all that hard. What’s more, these step work for both metal and plastic buckets.
