Want to Easily Rid Your Flooring of Yellow Patches? Here’s How!

A white floor is recognised for its aesthetic appeal. However, the continual exposure to dust, dirt and spills can mar its appearance. Over time, it may get discoloured or might develop yellowish patches too. Don’t worry, by using simple ingredients from your kitchen, you can easily get rid of those stains and restore its shine.

Try using these simple and effective tips.

Top TipWhenever using any cleaning method, always test it on a small inconspicuous area first to check for compatibility.

1) Use Baking Soda + Lemon Juice

In a bowl, combine 1 tbsp. of baking soda and 2 tbsp. of lemon juice and mix well. Once the paste is ready, apply it directly on the affected areas with a soft-bristled brush. Let it rest for 45 minutes. Scrub the paste with an old toothbrush for 5-10 minutes. This will lift the built-up stains. Thoroughly rinse the floor with water and wipe with a damp cloth.

2) Use Bleach + Water + Detergent

To clean the stained flooring of your entire house, prepare a solution of 1 cup of bleaching floor cleaner and 2 tbsp. of liquid detergent in 1 bucket of warm water. Pour this solution on the floor and let it sit for 30-45 minutes. Make sure you evenly cover the stains. Wipe with a damp sponge.

3) Use Vinegar + Water

Using a soft-bristled brush, apply some undiluted vinegar on the stained floor directly and let it work its magic for 15 minutes. Then, evenly sprinkle some baking soda over it. Thoroughly scrub the area with a sponge, and rinse off with water.

Welcome back your flawless white floors with a bright smile!
