Smelly fridge? Here's how you can fix this with ease.
Weekend’s leftovers or maybe a forgotten carton of milk can be perpetrators of bad odour in the fridge.
Simply scrubbing shelves, compartments and other parts may not be enough. Here is an all-natural technique to clean your fridge and leave it smelling fresh.
Step 1:
Turn off the power. Clear all the food; throw away anything that’s rotten and store the rest of the edibles in an appropriate place.
Step 2:
Remove the shelves and other brackets. Wash them in warm water and Vim dishwash liquid.
Step 3:
Add a cup of baking soda in a tub of water. Using a cotton cloth, clean the interiors of the fridge. If the bad smell persists, check the evaporator coil.
Step 4:
Rub a few lemon slices on the shelves for a pleasant fragrance. You can also place some freshly ground coffee beans on a plate in your refrigerator for a slightly strong aroma.
Clean your fridge at least once a month.
Top Tip
The evaporator coil is located behind the freezer compartment. Unscrew the panel and clean the ice over the coil with some paper towel.
