Spilled your morning coffee on your expensive hand-woven carpet? Worry not! Check out this hack to get rid of that tough stain!

Carpets often times fall prey to unfortunate incidents, such as spilt coffee that leaves ghastly stains on them.

You wish you could go back in time and stop this accident from happening and ruining your expensive hand-woven carpet. Since time travel is quite far-fetched, let’s try out other simpler ways to fix your carpet.

  • Pour water or club soda, but white wine definitely seems to be the most recommended choice to loosen the stain. Pour some salt over it immediately and leave the slush overnight. Scrape the salt and clean with some water.
  •  Use ammonia for non-wool or wool blend carpets. Mix it with water and drip it on the stain. Wait for 5 minutes and blot it with water and paper towels. Repeat, allowing the carpet to dry fully.
  • Use cold water on the affected area along with hydrogen peroxide. Dry it with cotton swabs.

These are probably the best to break down the coffee stains effectively.

Top Tip

Do not use a chemical spot removal agent on the carpet because it will damage the fibre.
