This simple home hack can help you get rid of nasty sticky stains with ease
Spills and stains are common around the house. The cleaning technique for stains differs from surface to surface and it is also dependent on the type of stain.
We’ve got a list of the most common surfaces and how to get rid of stains from them.
- Granite/Marble
Spray WD-40 on the sticky spot and scrub it with soapy water. You can also clean it with a solution of a litre of warm water and a spoonful of Vim dishwash liquid. - Metal
Rubbing alcohol works best on metal surfaces. - Wood
Soak a cloth or paper towel in white vinegar and lay it on the sticky surface. Let the vinegar soak in it for about five minutes. You should now be able to clean the stickiness easily. - Glass
Prepare a paste of 1 cup of vinegar, 1 cup of warm water and 1 spoon of baking soda. Apply the paste and rinse the space. Use a microfibre cloth or a newspaper to clean it dry.
