Bathroom cleaning

Follow these simple steps to keep your washbasin clean and germ-free!

Stains and dirt on a washbasin can decrease its lifespan. Ceramic washbasins are delicate and prone to scratches. As always, ingredients readily available in your kitchen will come in handy when you set out to clean.

A clean and tidy washbasin adds to the aesthetics of your bathroom. Here is a step-by-step guide to help you maintain a clean and germ-free bathroom.

Step 1:

Basic cleaning. Wear rubber gloves and pour some hot water into the basin to clear the pipe of any gunk. Get rid of food particles and anything that blocks the drain of the washbasin.

Step 2:

Apply vinegar and lime juice. Rub a lemon wedge on the stains and apply 2 tablespoons of vinegar on them. Let the washbasin sit for 10 minutes.

Step 3:

Stain treatment. Use a damp sponge to wipe clean the stained area. Don’t use anything that’s too abrasive.

Step 4:

Rinse it thoroughly. Make sure all the residue is washed off with water. Wipe the basin with a clean cloth.

Top Tip

Clean your washbasin once a week to avoid dirt accumulation which might make cleaning difficult.
