Guidelines on how to keep your baby’s bottle germ-free
Sometimes, preparing for the nourishment of your baby can feel a lot like prepping for a surgery. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to clean and sterilise your baby’s feeding bottle.
Once you’re finished feeding your baby, wash the bottle, the nipple, and the lid in hot, soapy water.
Use a bottle brush to thoroughly clean the insides of the bottle.
Once it’s clean, rinse it with some fresh water and let it dry.
You think you’re done here? The feeding bottle is still not germ-free.
Place all parts of the bottle in a large vessel. Fill it with water and let the water boil rapidly for 5 minutes
P.S. Make sure there are no air bubbles.
Turn off the stove and let the water cool down.
Wash your hands nicely before you handle the bottle parts and disinfect the surface where you plan to clean the bottle
If you are not using them straight away, put the lid and nipple onto the bottle, and keep it in a clean container inside the fridge.
