Have you recently started living alone? Here are few tips and tricks to help you be a responsible adult

If you’ve just started living by yourself, we know things aren’t as rosy as you thought they’d be. Keeping up with daily house-keeping can be a tough task but it doesn’t have to take up all your time.

You can keep your house clean and fresh even if you are living alone and have very less time to spare. Keep these tips handy and be a responsible adult.

1) Maintain beddings

Simplify your bedding as much as possible. Just a top sheet and a couple of pillows are enough. Make sure you keep it right before starting your day.

2) Manage your laundry

Put one load of laundry first thing in the morning. When you leave for the day, put your machine on delay (if you have this feature) so it will be ready to put in the dryer when you return home.

3) Wipe floors daily

Take a broom and attach a microfibre cloth on the broom head. Wipe the floors easily with this broom as it clears dust effectively.

4) Set cleaning goals

Make a list of different cleaning areas and prioritise your cleaning routine. For weekends, do the washing, and for the remaining days just sweep the floor.

5) Check the fridge every day

Dispose of food items that are rotten, have crossed their expiry date or smell funny.
