How to Clean Your Front Loading Washing Machine Inside-Out | Cleanipedia

To keep your clothes clean, it’s important to know how to care for your washing machine. Yes, with regular washing, your appliance tends to collect dirt, soap residue, bacteria, and so on. But don’t worry, with this simple washing machine maintenance routine, you will be able to keep your appliance in good condition.

Avoid overloading your washing machine. Divide your loads into multiple batches as your clothes need the freedom of movement to get cleaned.

Step 1: Make a Solution

Take a dry cloth and wipe your machine down. Make a mixture of 2 cups of white vinegar and 1 cup of baking soda and add it to the washer. Set the machine to a high load size and run it with hot water for a cycle duration of 15 minutes. White vinegar and baking soda help kill bacteria and eliminate dirt from your washing machine.

Step 2: Let it Rest

Once the cycle is complete, let the mixture sit for an hour, and then drain the water.

Step 3: Clean the Outsides

To clean the sides of your washing machine, use a clean cloth dampened with water and gently wipe it down. Make sure you also clean the top and the lid to clear out built-up residue, if any.

Step 4: Clean the Detachable Parts

To clean detachable parts like product dispensers, make a solution of 2 cups of warm water and 1 tsp. of a liquid detergent like Surf Excel Matic Liquid, which has been specially formulated for your machine. Mix it well. The advantage of using a liquid detergent is its ability to dissolve in water without leaving any residue. Next, using a soft-bristled brush, scrub the machine’s parts gently using this solution. Again, wash using plain water and pat dry with a microfibre cloth.

A clean washing machine will help keep your laundry sparkling brightly as well!!
