To keep your wooden furniture looking clean and shiny, you need to do a regular deep cleaning. Here’s how to clean wooden furniture without damaging it more.
Has your lifestyle during the Covid-19 lockdown affected the type of stains you get on your clothes?
1) General cleaning
Spray some water over a micro-fibre cloth and wipe the wooden surface. Make sure you do this once a week to maintain the shine and clear the dust off.
Use a furniture polish over the stains. It may not be that effective, but is a must-do.
3) Enzyme cleaning
Spray vegetable-based enzyme cleaner over the surface and let it sit for a while. Use a micro-fibre cloth to dry it and wipe away the dust.
4) Using vinegar and olive oil
Mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar with 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a spray bottle. Spray it over a soft cotton cloth and wipe the surface clean.
5) Toothpaste to clean water stains
Dab some non-gel toothpaste on the spot and rub with a soft cloth till the stain is lifted. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
With the help of these effective tips, you can retain the shine of your second-hand wooden furniture and keep it looking like brand-new.
