Kitchen cleaning

Are your storage units greased up from all the kitchen cooking? Here’s a simple method to clean them!

Grease is one aspect of cooking that every household is frightened of. It can be on your clothes, cabinets, walls, grouts, basically everywhere.

Use these hacks to mitigate the effects of grease.

  • Vinegar is the go-to cleaner for greasy cabinets. Mix equal proportions of vinegar and warm water and pour it into a spray bottle. Spray on the affected surfaces and let it sit for 2 minutes. Wipe them clean with a microfibre cloth. For tough grime stains, add a few drops of Vim dishwash liquid to the vinegar and water solution.
  • You can also put baking soda on a wet sponge and scrub the stains. Use a soft toothbrush or nylon-bristle scrub brush so you won’t scratch the cabinet surface.
  • Add one spoonful of Vim dishwash gel in a bowl of water. Use a cloth or sponge dipped in the solution to remove the grease from all surfaces. Dry all surfaces thoroughly with a clean cloth.

Top Tip

Don’t scrub too hard or use steel wool.
