The Indian thali is incomplete without a serving of pickle on the side. While it’s delicious and adds flavour to your meals, pickle stains on your clothes are an eyesore.
Here’s how you can get rid of those pickle stains from your clothes effortlessly.
1) Use Cornflour and Dishwashing Gel
Lay the stained portion of your garment on a flat surface and sprinkle cornflour on it. Make sure the stain is completely covered and let it rest for at least 30 minutes. Now, apply 1 tsp. each of dishwashing liquid and water on the stained area and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then, wash as you normally would and let the garment air-dry.
2) Use Hairspray
Evenly cover the pickle-stained area with hairspray and leave it for 10 minutes. Then wash your clothes and air-dry them.
3) Use Shampoo
This is another effective ingredient to remove stains. Simply pour 2 drops of shampoo over the stained area and gently rub it with a soft-bristled toothbrush. Wash your garment as you normally would.
These tips work well with cotton and polyester clothes. However, for delicate fabrics like silk, we recommend removing the stain with cornflour and dishwashing gel. There you go! The next time you find pickle stains on your clothes, try these effective tips.
