Step 2: Wash

Next, mix 1 tbsp. of detergent for clothes with 1 cup of water. Dip a clean cloth in it and dab the stain with the solution in a circular motion. The curry stain should disappear from your saree.

In case the stain lingers, here’s another process to try.

Step 1: Make a Solution

Prepare a mixture by adding 1 tbsp. of dishwashing gel and 1 tbsp. of vinegar to 2 cups of warm water. Make sure you mix it well.

Step 2: Dab the Stain

Using a clean cloth, dab the stain with this solution until the fabric absorbs the liquid.

Step 3: Wipe the Solution off

Take another clean cloth, dip it in cold water and wipe the affected patch to remove the cleaning solution.

By now, the stain should have come off. Finally, wash as you normally would in your washing machine. This works for most materials including, cotton, nylon and polyester. Remember to use only cold water, as this helps keep the colour of your saree intact.

These steps will help you remove the stain efficiently and make your saree look brand new again!
