Stain-removal from clothes can be therapeutic if you know smart and effortless techniques. Your clothes help you make the first impression, and your furniture reflects your refined taste. So, always make sure that your clothes and furniture are stain-free.
Give these cleaning tips a try.
1) Cleaning Ink Stains from Clothes
Blot the stain using a paper towel, but do not rub it, as this will spread the stain. Absorb as much ink as you can using the paper towel. Now, soak the stained area of your garment in cold water. Leave it overnight if you can. Squeeze 2 drops of a dishwashing liquid on the stained area and gently scrub with an old toothbrush. Next, rinse with plain water and put your garment to wash like you usually do.
2) Cleaning Ketchup Stain from Clothes
First, scrape off the ketchup using a spoon. Cover the ketchup stain left behind with vinegar. Let it rest on the stain for 2 minutes. Mix 2 drops of dishwashing liquid in a bowl of water. Apply the cleaning solution on the stained area and scrub using an old toothbrush in a circular motion. Do not rub too vigorously. Rinse with plain water. Read the care label instructions on the garment and wash it as per the instructions.
3) Cleaning Grease Stains from Clothes
You must treat the stain as soon as you spot it. The longer the stain sits on your clothes untreated, the more challenging it is to get rid of. Start by wiping the stain with a damp sponge. Sprinkle some baby powder or cornstarch on the stained area. Wait for 10 minutes, and then gently brush away the powder. Now, add 2-3 drops of a dishwashing liquid on both sides of the stain. Grab an old toothbrush and scrub gently in a circular motion on both sides of the stained area. Wash as you normally do. You can use an easily available detergent like Surf Excel Matic. Surf Excel Matic is a liquid laundry detergent that leaves no residue (like powders do) as being a liquid it dissolves completely in water.
The stains will stand no chance!
The next time you spot a stain, you know what to do.
