Here are a few ways to remove stains from your intimates

Intimates or inner garments are made out of delicate material so it’s best to learn how to wash them correctly in order to preserve the cloth.

Most stain removal tricks work best immediately after you spot them. Stains that have set in can get a little trickier. We’re here to help you out.

  • Rub some Surf Excel liquid detergent on the stains. Wash them with your hands. Or you can put your washable inners in a mesh laundry bag and put it for a washing cycle. Never put them in the dryer. Heat ruins the fabric
  • Bleach is really bad for your delicates as it can ruin the stretch of fibre. To avoid that, use liquid detergent or baby shampoo.
  • Add 1/4th cup of detergent in a bucket of cold water. Toss your delicate inners in the bucket and soak for 15 minutes. After they soak, squeeze the soapy water gently and rinse it completely under the cold tap water.
  • Fill 1/4th of a bowl with hydrogen peroxide and fill the remaining with cold water. Soak your inners for 20 minutes and rinse it under cold tap water.

It takes a little extra effort to wash your intimates, but it is totally worth it

Top Tip

Always use cold water to wash your delicates. It helps the elastic retain its stretchability.
