Here are some simple steps to restore life into your old, dull fabrics

All coloured clothes begin to fade after repeated washing and drying. We can’t really avoid washing our clothes, can we?

So, how about we give you the right techniques to wash your coloured garments?
Remember these simple tips, forever.

  • Add ½ a glass of white vinegar to your washing load to improve the effectiveness of your detergent and to keep your clothes soft.
  • Turn your clothes inside out because the washing tub and dryer can cause fabric fibres to break as clothes collide into each other.
  • Hang your clothes to dry away from direct sunlight or heat in order to prevent fading.
  • Washing your clothes in cold water instead of hot water helps keep your colours bright. It also conserves energy and saves you money.
  • Add 2 cups of brewed coffee or strong tea (without milk or sugar) to the rinse cycle to restore the colour of your black and dark coloured clothes.

Restoring your favourite clothes is no rocket science. It’s actually a lot easier than you think.

Top Tip

Avoid washing coloured clothes until you've worn them 2-3 times. Instead just take them off and let them air dry.
