Keeping your white shirts looking bright is hard because regular exposure to dirt and sweat can leave them lacklustre. But don’t worry, it isn’t impossible, so hang on to them a while longer as we help you bring the sparkle back to your whites.
Instead of using your regular bleaching products, try these less harsh ingredients from your kitchen to keep your whites looking fresh always!
- Use Lemon Juice and Detergent
In a bucket full of warm water, add lemon juice squeezed from four lemons and ¼-cup of your regular powder detergent. Let your white shirt soak in it for about 40 minutes, then thoroughly rinse it with fresh water. Dry it as you normally would. For effective results, we suggest you dry your white shirt out in the sunlight, which is a natural bleaching agent and works wonders in restoring the brightness of your white clothes.
- Use Lemon Juice and Baking Soda
In case of stubborn stains, evenly sprinkle 1-tbsp. baking soda directly on them. Cut a lemon into half and rub it over the stain for a minute. Let it stay on for 15 minutes and then wash as usual with warm water.
- Use Vinegar
While washing your white shirt in your washing machine, add 1-cup of vinegar directly to your washer. Vinegar helps brighten your white shirts effectively. It also helps keep your clothes smelling fresh and feeling soft.
Don’t be afraid to wear white. Confidently wear your favourite white shirt at a family dinner or an office party, without worrying about getting it stained!
