1) Use Dishwashing Liquid
Dropped salad dressing or gravy on your clothes? Rub a little dishwashing liquid on the stain and rinse with water. Dishwashing liquid is gentle enough to spot-treat most fabrics, including washable wool and silk.
2) Use Detergent
To maintain your whites, make a solution of 2 tsp. of detergent and 2 tsp. of water. Mix it well and rub it directly on to the stained patches on your garment. Let sit for 15 minutes and then wash as you normally would.
3) Use Lemon Juice
Combine 2 tbsp. lemon juice with 1-tbsp. dishwashing liquid and mix it well. Use this solution to remove wine and chocolate stains from garments. Directly apply it to the stained patch and allow it to sit on the stain for 20 minutes. Then dab at the stain with a clean cloth or sponge until it fades and disappears. Repeat the process if necessary. Wash the garment right away on your regular cycle.
