
Simple tips to remove pickle stain from a shirt
Pickle is an integral part of any traditional Indian meal. Along with the lip-smacking taste, pickle comes with the fear of stains.
Pickle stains can be tough to tackle but, we’ve got an easy technique to aid you.
Step 1:
Hold the stained portion under running cold water. Prepare a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water for coloured shirts which cannot be treated with bleach. Mix the two in a ratio of 1-part hydrogen peroxide to 9 parts of water.
Step 2:
Soak the stained portion in the solution and let it sit for a few hours.
Step 3:
Rinse the item of clothing thoroughly in warm, clean water. Make sure you follow all the instructions given on the wash care label.
Step 4:
Repeat step 3 if needed. Then, wash the garment using a beach-based detergent.
Top Tip
For best results, scrub the stained portion with Surf Excel liquid detergent before washing.
