Follow this step-by-step process for washing and maintaining your curtains’ freshness and shine.
Remove the curtains and make sure there isn’t any hardware attached to it. Now lay it on a flat surface.
Use a vacuum cleaner to get rid of excess dust and dirt.
Check the manufacturer’s label to determine the cleaning method.
If it recommends machine wash, run the load in a gentle cycle with 3 tablespoons of Surf excel in cold water. If the label says hand wash, do so by washing one panel at a time using Vim dishwash gel and cold water.
Air dry your curtains. Do not keep them under direct sunlight or heat.
Send your curtains for dry cleaning once in 6 months
Run them through a dryer once a month to remove dirt and dust. Use the "no heat" setting and dry your drapes for 10 minutes.
