Cleaning your car does not only mean spraying water on your car. If you want to preserve your car’s good looks, you must put in some real efforts. Follow the steps given here to clean the car interiors and exteriors and keep it stain-free like a pro.

a) Large sponge

b) Dishwashing gel

c) 2 buckets

d) Microfibre cloth

e) Vacuum cleaner

f) Glass cleaner

How to Clean Your Car Exteriors

  1. Step 1: Dust

    Close the windows, remove the wiper and dust the exteriors of your car to remove any surface dirt and dust.

  2. Step 2: Prepare Cleaning Solution

    In one bucket of water, add a few drops of dishwashing gel. Fill the other bucket with plain water.

  3. Step 3: Scrub

    Soak a sponge in the soapy water and wipe your car exteriors with it. Move the sponge in circular motion.

  4. Step 4: Rinse

    Rinse off the soapy layer from your car’s body using a water hose.

  5. Step 5: Dry

    Wipe off the excess moisture using microfibre cloth. Move from top to bottom in circular motion.

  6. Step 6: Apply Wax

    You can apply car wax or polish on your car’s exteriors to give it some extra shine.

How to Clean Your Car Interiors

  1. Step 1: Dust

    Take out the floor mats and other accessories like neck pillow, seat covers etc. and dust them properly.

  2. Step 2: Vacuum the Interiors

    Get rid of dirt and dust in the various corners of your car using a vacuum cleaner. Ensure that you cover the floor, roof head and seat handles.

  3. Step 3: Wipe the Car Clean

    Grab a disinfectant wipe and rub it on the steering wheel, infotainment system, gear stick etc.

  4. Step 4: Clean the Windows

    Clean the glass windows of your car using a glass cleaner. Wipe glass surfaces using a glass cleaner such as Cif Glass Cleaner. It is easily available in the market. Always read pack for usage instructions and test on a small part before use. This will help remove stains.

  5. Step 5: Replace the Mats

    Replace the seat covers and floor mats in your car.
