You can also use dishwashing liquid as an effective cleaner for surfaces and floors in your home. Simply dilute one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid in a bucket of warm water and clean the surfaces in your kitchen and home that need it. This solution works excellently for flooring especially cement and laminate flooring too.
For Cleaning Oven Racks & Burnt on Grease
Burnt on grease and food can be the hardest thing to remove from stainless steel items in the kitchen like pots, pans and oven racks. All you have to do is let the dishwashing liquid work its magic. Simply allow the rack or pot to soak in a sink full of warm water with two teaspoons of Sunlight Dishwashing Liquid dissolved into it. Allow it to soak overnight. In the morning you simply have to wash it again with clean, warm, soapy water and the burnt-on grease should just wash off with ease.
If you have burnt food on the stove, you can also pour some dishwashing liquid directly onto the burnt food and spills and leave it for 10 – 15 minutes to soak. With a cloth that has been soaked with warm water or a soft sponge, simply rub the burnt food away for a sparkling steel finish.
For Cleaning Garage Utensils
If you are a DIY-fundi and like to fix things at home in the garage, it can often mean that you end up with oily, greasy tools and equipment that you’re not sure how to clean. For steel garage and outdoor equipment, simply soak them overnight in a bucket of water with a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid in to remove the grease and oil completely.
For Cleaning Grease & Fat Stains on Laundry
Dishwashing liquid can also be your go-to pre-stain treatment when doing laundry. If you have found greasy, fatty stains on any of your clothing, simply pour a spoon of dishwashing liquid directly onto the stain and rub it in gently with your finger or a soft-bristled brush. Allow it to soak for a few minutes and then wash the garment as per normal in the machine. The grease stain should be gone after that!
