How to Get Chocolate Ice Cream Out of Clothes

Chocolate ice cream stains should be treated as soon as possible to prevent the stain setting further into the fabric. Ideally, a chocolate ice cream stain should never be allowed to dry. If you’re out and about when the stain occurs, you can follow these steps:

  2. If you’re near to a bathroom, use hand-soap and rub it into the stain with your fingers.
  3. Wash the soap suds out with clean cold water as before.
  4. Put the item of clothing in the wash as soon as you get home.

If you’re home, then try following these steps to treat chocolate ice cream stains:

  1. Use a blunt implement, like a spoon, to scrape off any excess ice cream.
  2. After consulting the care labels, put the garment in the washing machine
  3. Add a good quality detergent like Persil small & mighty (it’s designed to give better stain removal, even in a quick wash).
  4. Select a cool program.
  5. Once the cycle has finished, check the garment to see if the stain is completely removed.

How to Remove Residual Chocolate Ice Cream Stains

Chocolate ice cream stains might not always come out first time – especially if they have had a long time to melt into the fibres of the fabric. For stubborn stains, you can do the following:

  1. Add Persil small & mighty to a bucket or basin of cool water.
  2. Add the stained item of clothing and leave it to soak for 15 to 30 minutes.
  3. Remove the garment and place it in the washing machine and set it on a cool water cycle.
  4. Check that the stain is removed and dry the garment as normal.
