Put a tablespoon of Surf Laundry Detergent onto the stained area first. If you’re using the Surf powder, first create a paste out of one tablespoon of powder to two tablespoons of water. Mix together. Rub it on the stained area of the white clothes and leave to soak in for 10 minutes.

Step #2 – Wash

Once you’ve pre-treated the stain, pop the garment in the washing basin and be sure to only mix it in with other white clothing. Add the recommended amount of Surf Laundry Detergent to the washing basin or bucket of water and wash as normal.

Step #3 – Dry in Direct Sun

Dry the white garments on the line in direct sun. This also helps to make the white fabric brighter.

To enhance the effectiveness of getting rid of the stains completely, then you can add a dash of baking soda or vinegar and Surf washing powder as these products work well together. Mix one-part white vinegar with one-part water and Surf washing powder. Pour the solution on the stain. Leave for 10 minutes again and repeat the wash and dry steps as above.

Another at-home secret to try is a mixture of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and Surf washing powder. Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with two to three drops of hydrogen peroxide to make a thick paste. This paste can be used to pre-treat the grass stain.

If you’re not dealing with white clothing, getting grass stains out can be slightly easier. You should be able to simply follow steps one to three above, and your dark and coloured jeans, pants, socks, and tops should come out looking as bright as new.

First give the shoe a clean to get rid of any excess grass, mud or dirt.
