Quick and useful tips to get rid of fleas

What is more annoying than the zzzzzz of a mosquito? Probably fleas. Even the thought makes one itchy.

If they’ve been bothering your pets, you can almost always count on the fact that they will soon be all over the house!  And, there’s absolutely nothing nice about them. But, the question is how to get rid of fleas instantly. Here are some handy hints and tips that will help you get rid of them – pronto!

Wear white to spot them

Fleas don’t make a sound, so they are much more difficult to find. If you are going flea hunting it is best to wear white clothing. This way you are much more likely to see them. But even then, it’s often a question of, now you see them, now you don’t.

Vacuum

If you use a strong vacuum cleaner, you can get rid of some fleas and their eggs. But make sure you cover all the surface areas in your home. Vacuum your bedding, mattresses, curtains, carpets and rugs and any cracks and crevices in your home. Attach a nozzle for those hard-to-reach areas.

Flea spray

Read the instructions carefully to make sure that the spray is safe to use in a home. If you follow the instructions carefully, this could be a good remedy.

Handy tip: When you need to apply flea repellant near their pet’s faces or other sensitive areas, spray the repellant on a comb and apply to those sensitive areas.

Trap those fleas

Create flea traps in infected areas in your home. Fill bowls with warm water and a squirt of Sunlight Dishwashing Liquid and place where fleas are likely to be active at night. The mixture will act as a glue and trap fleas. Repeat this every day with a fresh solution.

With these tips you should be able to safely and effectively get rid of your flea problem. But if you’ve tried all of the above and the problem persists, it is probably time to call in the professionals to fumigate your home and get rid of all pests – once and for all!

Add Sunlight Dishwashing Liquid to water and place where fleas are likely to be active at night. The mixture will act as a glue and trap fleas.
